Engage with Other Home Care Medicine Professionals on the NEW AAHCM Member Forum

To provide a better user experience, AAHCM has implemented a new member forum to provide members with a quick and easy way to connect with others. AAHCM thanks the members that helped test the forum and invites you to check out the new platform.

Improvements

As a home care medicine professional, it’s important to have a quick and easy way to connect with others in the field—whether to ask questions, pose ideas, or share resources. The American Academy of Home Care Medicine recognizes this need and is ever striving to provide tools and support to our members to make such communication and collaboration possible.

To provide members with a better community experience, AAHCM identified a need for improvements to the Member Forum. By updating our forum technology, we made the following improvements:

  • Eliminated the need to log in to the website and forum separately. One login now provides you access to both areas.
  • Verified users so that only AAHCM members can partake in the forum and so that you can rest assured that your discussions aren’t available to the public.
  • A new look and feel to match the new AAHCM website design and to better reflect who we are as a community.
  • Feature areas to help you quickly view Academy announcements and events.

This new online collaborative tool, designed exclusively for AAHCM members, still provides the benefits of the former forum by offering you the ability to:

  • participate in digital friendly discussion forums
  • connect with other AAHCM members, asking questions or sharing ideas
  • allow you to share large files without cluttering your inbox.

Working Out the Bugs

To make sure the new forum works correctly and meets the needs of our members, AAHCM conducted user testing on the new platform during the months of May and June. A sampling of the membership were asked to participate on the new forum and to provide feedback. Thank you to all of our testers!
